HOMEWORK: student reading and answers 1

1. Why does the government keep refusing to answer Helen thomas's questions, wouldnt you think that it might answer more than one questions for not only her but a lot of Americans also? and doesnt it make you a little suspicious about what the government if not ( only the press/media ) is hiding from all Americans. I think the questions could only be able to be answered if the government actually started to tell the American nations whats actually going on.

2.  I think Obama is not really giving anymore information than Brennan did, all Obama said was that the terrorist were basically only doing this because of their religion and that the al qaeda was recruiting more people and basically training the innocent people to become terrorist. Brennan didn't really say anything he was just trying to change the subject which I think would make people really suspicious.

3. It's obvious why Thomas was not satisfied with Brennan's answer, because he just wouldnt give her the answer to the question she wanted and i think she was just getting frustrated. I do not believe that Thomas would have accepted president Obama's answer either because he did not answer the question she was asking either, and do I think he would of had a better explanation for her if they were in a face to face interview?.. "yes!"

4. She thinks its important and better to face it and then to forget about it, that is basically what she said. I do think it is important as well because if you think about it when you try to forget about things and refuse to talk about them then you are basically telling yourself and the American people because your refusing to step up and try to make something work out so that we are not getting bombed almost every year?!

5. Honestly i would answer Thomas's questions by telling her that we made the "terrorist countries" mad by having our and the french people treated as if they were prized and by not showing any gratefulness from the help of the lower countries.
